Wardrobe & Costume Designer
My career has been linked Fashion, Costume and more recently to fine arts. I have broad range experience designing for theater, film and television with experience in different formats such as soap operas, films, documentaries, advertising, music videos, series and reality shows.
My work as a costume designer has been seen in the U.S, Venezuela, Colombia and Cuba, where I attended the National Film School of San Antonio de los Baños as Art Director and Costume Designer of different shorts films.
My work brought me to the US where i worked for NBCUniversal's network Telemundo for four years as Manager and Costume Designer of five of their productions.
I have experience in costume design for large scale projects such as "La Pola" and "Diomedes", a extraordinary challenge were I had to create historical wardrobe for both of this projects.
I recently relocated to LA, where I had worked as a wardrobe designer, supervisor & ACD to different projects (short, length film, advertising/editotals)
I am a very passionate, committed and communicative person. I prioritize the vision of the directors to bring each project to life as a member of a team. Introducing new perspectives is one of the things that keep me interested and committed to the project. By doing so, i feel it enriches the overall feel of the work and most definitely, helps to make the concept of each project, congruent with its conception and development within the story.
As a fashion designer, I conceptualized, designed and produced three clothing brands for women: Coccoa, Maluca, both with great acceptance in the market, and more recently INDUMENTO "Piece by Piece", a clothing brand made 100% in Colombia, designed for the contemporary woman, who sees fashion as a wonderful weapon of expression. Indumento is a slow fashion brand committed to ethical work, sensitive to the problems that affect the planet. Everything we produce is made on the spot.
